As the owner of the "EUR in the Oval" brand, Rail Cargo Group (RCG) relies on a large network of strong partners. Memberships in the various organisations form the basis for expanding the international presence of the "EUR in the Oval" brand.
UIC (Union Internationale de Chemins de fer)
The International Union of Railways (UIC) is the global cooperation organisation for railway companies. The UIC is committed to the harmonisation of standards, the promotion of sustainable mobility and technical development in rail transport. It coordinates international projects, develops standards and supports innovations to improve efficiency and safety in the railway sector.
WKO (Austrian Economic Chamber)
The Austrian Economic Chamber (WKO) represents the interests of Austrian companies. The WKO represents companies from all industries at national and international level and is divided into nine regional chambers and numerous specialist organisations. The ARGE Palettenpool is a cooperative project within the WKO.
ARGE Palettenpool (Pallet pool working group)
The pallet pool working group (ARGE Palettenpool) is a cooperative project within the Austrian Economic Chamber (WKO) and represents the common interests of manufacturers and users of Euro pallets. ARGE Palettenpool is made up of various trade associations of the WKO, including the Association of the Paper Industry, the Association of the Woodworking Industry and others.
GS1
GS1 is an international organisation for the development and implementation of global standards in the areas of identification, data capture and data exchange. It is particularly well known for the EAN/GTIN barcode system, which is used worldwide for product labelling. GS1 supports companies in optimising supply chains, traceability and digitalisation in industries such as retail, logistics, healthcare and industry. The organisation has national representatives in over 100 countries and works closely with companies and authorities to provide efficient and interoperable solutions.
CCMTV (Centre of Competence for Reusable Transport Packaging)
GS1's centre of competence for reusable transport packaging (CCMTV) is a specialist group focusing on transport packaging and its efficient use in the supply chain. RCG has been a member of the CCMTV since 2017.
ECR (Efficient Consumer Response)
The Efficient Consumer Response (ECR) organisation is an international network that promotes cooperation between trade and industry in order to make the entire supply chain more efficient and customer-oriented.
